GRP Grating

GRP grating is manufactured by combining fibreglass rovings with thermosetting resin, resulting in a strong, load-bearing (at selected thicknesses), one-piece moulded panel. This product serves as a popular alternative to galvanised or stainless steel grating because it is relatively lightweight, corrosion-resistant, highly durable, and UV-stable.

The composite structure of GRP grating includes a fire-resistant additive that achieves Euro Class 1, ISO 11925-2 accreditation (equivalent to ASTM E84 class 1 and BS 476 part 7, class 2). The gritted surface has been tested in accordance with BS 7976-2 and provides a high level of slip resistance. An on-site fitting service is available upon request.

Applications

Suitable uses include flooring, platforms, walkways, drain covers, assembly lines, trench covers, stairs, ramps, filters, and protective fencing.

Availability

GRP grating is supplied gritted on one side and un-gritted on the other as standard.

Note: Other sizes, thicknesses and colours are available upon request. If a specific colour of material is required, please state this in writing at the point of enquiry. We can also offer panels with a laminated GRP solid top upon request.
