PTFE gaskets are available in multiple grades tailored to diverse sealing needs, offering outstanding chemical resistance, high dielectric properties, and a wide temperature range. Their low moisture absorption, corrosion and hydrolysis resistance, and extremely low coefficient of friction make them ideal for sealing applications involving rotary or linear motion.
Our primary grades include virgin PTFE and expanded virgin PTFE, both compliant with current FDA standards, making them suitable for use in food, beverage, and pharmaceutical sectors. Expanded Virgin PTFE is especially effective on fragile, worn, or uneven flanges due to its enhanced compressibility compared to standard virgin PTFE. We also supply a variety of other grades, enhanced with fillers such as bronze, carbon, glass, 316L stainless steel, and metal-detectable options. Detailed information on each grade is available via the links in the table below.
Henry Gallacher specialises in precision cutting of PTFE gaskets, seals, and washers, capable of meeting both single-piece and bulk orders through our in-house CNC machinery. We produce dovetail, picture frame, and standard flange gaskets and can manufacture to bespoke dimensional specifications. For guidance on measuring flange and picture frame gaskets, please refer to our step-by-step tutorial on 'How to Measure a Gasket'.
