Industrial laminate materials, also referred to as thermoset composites, are best known for their exceptional electrical insulation, high mechanical strength, and machinability. As a result, they are frequently manufactured into parts and components used in electromechanical applications and industries.
Layers of fabric (SRBF), paper (SRBP), or glass (SRBG) fibres are bonded with a wide range of synthetic resin systems under extreme pressures and elevated temperatures, resulting in a collection of rigid, lightweight, and economical materials that display outstanding electrical resistance, excellent mechanical strength, and low water absorption.
The inherent rigidity of industrial laminate materials enables the bespoke manufacture of complex components using the same techniques and processes as for engineering plastics, including CNC milling, CNC sawing, routing, turning, and drilling. Cut pieces and full sheets can also be supplied as required.
