Ceramic & Glass Fibre


Ceramic and glass fibre fabrics are engineered for high-temperature insulation and woven into a range of specialised products. Both types resist oils, solvents, and thermal shock, maintain chemical stability, and are impervious to bacterial growth. Their lightweight, non-combustible nature and adaptability make them ideal for diverse industrial uses.

Ceramic fibre textiles are often combined with glass or wire reinforcements to enhance tensile strength and durability at elevated temperatures. They offer superior heat resistance, reduced thermal conductivity, and improved steam resistance compared to glass fibre alternatives. Suitable for applications up to +1260°C, though glass- or wire-reinforcement materials have lower temperature limits.

Glass fibre products are crafted from 100% air-textured E-glass yarns, trapping significant air volume to deliver excellent thermal insulation. These are rated for use up to +550°C.

Both ceramic and glass fibre materials offer strong chemical resistance against most corrosive substances, except for hydrofluoric acid, phosphoric acid, and concentrated alkalis.

Note: Organic components in ceramic insulation will burn off above 200°C without impacting the ceramic fibre's performance. Ensure adequate ventilation during this initial heating phase.
