Leaf Springs

Leaf Springs

Leaf Springs crafted from glass or carbon fibre composites deliver outstanding dynamic strength alongside excellent resistance to corrosion and fatigue. These springs provide superior mechanical durability and greater resilience than conventional steel springs. They are widely employed in vibratory feed conveyors for precise metering, weighing, and packaging tasks, particularly within the food processing sector. We supply leaf springs in various grades detailed below, all available for custom machining to meet your exact specifications.

Applications

Used extensively in screening, paper processing, conveyor systems, dosing plants, feeding mechanisms, and drive components.

Key Features

  • Outstanding corrosion resistance.
  • Robust impact resistance.
  • High fatigue endurance.
  • Effective electrical insulation.

Leaf Springs - Grades HFX & HCF

Leaf Springs HFX & HCF

HFX Leaf Springs feature unidirectional glass fibres embedded in a dark green epoxy resin, delivering exceptional flexural strength and rigidity.

HCF Leaf Springs utilise aerospace-grade unidirectional carbon fibres combined with a dark epoxy resin, designed for high-performance and demanding machinery applications.

Technical Specification:

Leaf Springs - Grade SYD

Leaf Springs - SYD

SYD Leaf Springs feature a strictly parallel, non-interlaced glass fibre arrangement with fibres that remain unbent and unstretched. Epoxy resin binders ensure strong adhesion to the fibre surface, optimising dynamic and electrical characteristics. The mechanical performance can be tailored by adjusting the layer orientation during production to suit specific operational needs.
