B36 Epoxy Glass Laminate

B36 Epoxy Glass Laminate

B36 epoxy glass laminate is a premium-grade, high-strength epoxy glass laminate with a Class F insulation rating. Its excellent electrical and mechanical characteristics make it ideal for use in small motors, turbo-alternators, and a variety of other electrical components.

Like other rigid laminates and engineering plastics, B36 can be precision-machined into insulating parts using CNC milling, routing, turning, and drilling. For further details and examples of our machining expertise, please visit our machining service page.

B36 complies with BS EN 60893 Standard: 3-2-EPGC201 & 203.

Applications

Used for insulation bars, spacers, bag sealing, high frequency and high voltage insulation, precision machined components, thermal splash barriers, welding jigs, terminal boards, and tag strips.

Key Features

  • Operates continuously up to +155°C, with intermittent tolerance to +165°C.
  • Outstanding electrical and mechanical performance.
  • Simple to machine into custom parts.
  • Maintains good dimensional stability.

Note: B36 epoxy glass laminate is available only in bulk quantities and subject to minimum order requirements. B48 epoxy glass laminate  is generally preferred over B36 due to its enhanced mechanical properties at elevated temperatures and greater availability. B48 is essentially B36 that has undergone post-curing.
