Metal Detectable PTFE Sheet

Metal detectable PTFE sheet combines the essential chemical, mechanical and thermal properties of Virgin PTFE with finely integrated additives that enable detection by most metal scanning devices. This FDA-approved material features a very low coefficient of friction and outstanding resistance to corrosion and hydrolysis. It is widely utilised in food, beverage and pharmaceutical processing, packaging, and conveyor systems.

Typical Uses

Frequently fabricated into gaskets, seals, guide components, slide plates, scrapers, and wear strips.

Key Features

Operates effectively between -200°C and +260°C.
Contains metal-detectable additives compatible with standard metal detection equipment.
Exceptional stability across a broad temperature range.
Chemically inert except when exposed to elemental alkali metals, chlorine trifluoride, and elemental fluorine under extreme conditions.
Excellent sliding characteristics with minimal friction.
Highly suitable for machining processes.
Approved for food contact applications.
