PEEK Rod

PEEK Rod

PEEK rod (polyether ether ketone) is a highly durable, wear-resistant plastic known for its outstanding performance at elevated temperatures and resistance to energy radiation. It maintains excellent dimensional stability and offers significant mechanical strength. This material also resists chemicals and hydrolysis effectively, even when exposed to super-heated steam. Additionally, PEEK rod provides electrical insulation, smooth sliding characteristics, and is straightforward to machine.

Applications

Widely used in nuclear and medical sectors. Ideal for machined parts such as friction bearings, piston components, wafer supports, and plug elements.

Key Features

  • Operating temperature range: -60°C to +250°C (short-term up to +310°C).
  • Exceptional strength and wear resistance.
  • Outstanding resistance to creep and high-energy radiation.
  • Superior chemical and hydrolysis resistance.
  • Effective noise dampening properties.
  • Easy to machine for precision components.
