Stainless steel filled PTFE rod is widely used in food and pharmaceutical sectors due to its superior mechanical strength, enhanced wear resistance, and better thermal conductivity compared to standard PTFE grades. The stainless steel reinforcement reduces static accumulation and increases material hardness, facilitating easier machining.
Featuring a 316L stainless steel filler, this PTFE grade offers improved load-bearing resistance and a kinetic coefficient of friction comparable to carbon filled PTFE. It exhibits excellent chemical resistance, except against certain alkali metals, chlorine trifluoride, and elemental fluorine, and operates effectively across a wide temperature range. Compliant with EC 1935/2004 and FDA 21 CFR 177.1550 standards, it is suitable for contact with both wet and dry food products.
