Acetal Homopolymer (Delrin®) Sheet

Acetal Homopolymer (Delrin®) Sheet

Acetal homopolymer sheet (known as Delrin® sheet) is a durable, rigid plastic offering superior mechanical strength, hardness, and creep resistance compared to Acetal copolymer. It provides excellent wear resistance but should not be exposed to prolonged water immersion above +60°C. This material is straightforward to machine, delivers excellent electrical insulation, and withstands most dilute acids, cleaning agents, and certain solvents. Additionally, it exhibits a lower thermal expansion rate than Acetal copolymer. Genuine Delrin® sheet can be supplied upon request—please specify this clearly when making an enquiry.

Application

Ideal for friction bearings, gears, springs, housings, rollers, friction strips, plugs, insulators, snap-fit connectors, and sealing components.

Key Features

  • Excellent sliding characteristics.
  • Enhanced mechanical strength, hardness, and creep resistance over Acetal copolymer.
  • Outstanding electrical insulation properties.
  • Better temperature resistance than Acetal copolymer.
  • Highly suitable for machining.
