Silicone rubber sheeting
(SI) is a synthetic elastomer composed of silicon, carbon, hydrogen and oxygen. It delivers outstanding flexibility over a wide temperature span (-60°C to +200°C), features excellent release characteristics, and withstands ozone, weathering and UV exposure effectively. This material exhibits a good compression set, strong moisture resistance, and serves as an excellent electrical insulator. It is biocompatible but unsuitable for contact with acids, ketones or petrochemicals, and has limited abrasion and tear resistance.
Thanks to these qualities, silicone rubber sheeting finds use in diverse sectors. It is frequently fabricated into
