Stainless Steel Tanged Graphite

Stainless steel tanged graphite is crafted from expanded graphite foil reinforced with one or more layers of 0.10mm thick stainless steel tangs. This material is widely utilised as a gasket solution in steam systems, petrochemical and chemical sectors, and for flange gaskets in piping and machinery.

Temperature range: -200°C to +500°C (intermittent, dry), -200°C to +650°C (intermittent, steam).
Maximum pressure rating: 140 bar.
Soft and flexible with excellent recovery and resistance to ageing.
Impermeable to gases and liquids, chemically inert, radiation resistant, and highly resistant to thermal shock.
Low friction coefficient, stable over time, with outstanding residual stress retention.
