Acetal Rod

Acetal rod is a durable, rigid plastic known for its superior impact resistance and mechanical strength. It absorbs minimal moisture and withstands dilute acids, cleaning chemicals, and many solvents. Its excellent machinability makes it a preferred choice for food-grade applications. Compared to acetal homopolymer (Delrin®), this rod offers enhanced resistance to hydrolysis and strong alkalis, along with a higher thermal expansion rate.

Applications

Ideal for manufacturing machine components, friction bearings, gears, rollers, guides, and seals.

Operating temperature range: -50°C to +100°C.
Minimal moisture absorption.
Approved for food contact use.
Excellent electrical insulation.
High resistance to impact and wear.
Superior sliding characteristics.
Good chemical resistance.
Highly suitable for precision machining.

Standards

Meets EC regulations No. 10/2011 and No. 1935/2004.
Compliant with FDA regulation 21 CFR 177.2470 (excluding applications with over 15% alcohol content).
Black rod pigments conform to FDA regulation 21 CFR 178.3297.
