B3N Phenolic Paper Laminate

B3 Phenolic Paper Laminate
B3N phenolic paper laminate material offers excellent electrical strength both in air and when immersed in oil. Manufactured from layered paper bonded with a synthetic, plasticised resin, it forms a rigid, plastic-like sheet ideal for high- and medium-voltage electrical insulation applications, including switchgear.
The B3 laminate can be machined using conventional plastic sheet processing methods, including sawing, drilling, milling, and routing to produce complex parts tailored to your requirements. For further information, please see our machining service page.
Manufactured in accordance with BS EN 60893 Standard: 3-4-PFCP203.

Applications

Originally designed for medium voltage electrical insulation in oil-submerged environments, B3 is commonly used for terminal boards, tag strips, mounting plates, coil formers, busbar supports, and various mechanical components.

Key Features

  • Continuous operating temperature up to +105°C, with intermittent tolerance up to +120°C.
