Butyl Rubber Sheeting

Butyl Rubber Sheeting

Butyl rubber sheeting (IIR) is a synthetic elastomer crafted from isobutylene and isoprene, known for its strong thermal stability and resistance to ageing, UV exposure, and weather conditions. This makes it ideal for both indoor and outdoor sealing applications.

Its dense, impermeable nature makes Butyl rubber a preferred choice where airtight seals or gas retention are essential. However, it is unsuitable for use with petroleum-based products, oils, or chlorinated solvents.

Supplied in rolls, strips, or custom-cut sheets, Butyl rubber sheeting is frequently fabricated into gaskets and seals, leveraging its unique sealing properties.

Henry Gallacher stocks a comprehensive range of Butyl rubber sheeting. Please contact us to discuss your requirements and benefit from our prompt regional service and technical support.

Also known as isobutylene-isoprene rubber, Butyl offers reliable performance in demanding sealing environments.
