Sigma® 500

Sigma® 500

Sigma® 500 is a biaxially orientated PTFE material reinforced with hollow glass fibres, designed for sealing tasks requiring low bolt loads. It performs well on delicate, worn, or damaged flanges thanks to its non-stick surface. This gasket material is compatible with a wide range of chemicals across the pH spectrum from 0 to 14, excluding molten alkali metals, fluorine gas, and hydrogen fluoride.

Approved for potable water use under WRAS standards and compliant with FDA and EC food contact regulations.

We offer precision machining to produce standard flange gasket tables, bespoke gaskets, or picture frame gaskets tailored to your needs. For assistance with gasket measurements, please refer to our guide on How to Measure a Gasket. A detailed comparison between our Novus™ and Sigma® gasket materials is available here.

Should you require alternatives, we can supply GYLON® 3504 and Klinger® Top-Chem 2003 gasket materials. Sigma® 500 sheets are available through Henry Gallacher as a trusted supplier.
