Sigma® 511

Sigma® 511

Sigma® 511 is a premium biaxially orientated PTFE material enhanced with silica filler, offering reliable compressibility. It holds WRAS approval for potable water use and meets EC regulations for materials in contact with food. This gasket material excels in sealing strong acids, including all concentrations of sulphuric acid, and various chemicals. However, it is unsuitable for hydrofluoric acid, molten alkali metals, fluorine gas, or hydrogen fluoride applications.

Henry Gallacher provides cutting services to transform Sigma® 511 into standard table size flange gaskets, custom gaskets, or picture frame gaskets tailored to your specifications. For guidance on gasket measurement, please consult our detailed online resource: How to Measure a Gasket. Additionally, we offer a comparison table to help you evaluate Novus™ and Sigma® gasket materials, available here.

Should you require alternative materials, Henry Gallacher supplies GYLON® 3500 and Top-Chem 2000 gasket products sourced from trusted manufacturers.
