Expanded PTFE sealing tape is crafted from unsintered PTFE, renowned for its exceptional chemical resistance, excluding alkali metals. It withstands high pressures and maintains stability at elevated temperatures. This sealing tape is odourless and tasteless, making it ideal for food industry applications, and it holds WRAS approval for potable water use. Henry Gallacher also supplies expanded PTFE sheet.
This tape is designed to substitute full gaskets by overlapping it around one flange’s sealing surface before bolting flanges together. Its soft, flexible nature ensures effective sealing even on uneven or damaged flange faces.
Provided with a self-adhesive backing for ease of installation.
