Neoprene Sponge Sheeting - 2C2 (previously known as SCE42) is a medium-density closed-cell expanded sponge renowned for its strong oil resistance, making it a preferred choice in automotive and aerospace sealing applications. Its durability extends to both indoor and outdoor environments, thanks to excellent resistance against ozone, sunlight, and oxidation. The closed-cell structure ensures effective sealing against moisture, dust, and drafts, positioning it as a reliable gasket material. This sheeting has been tested to UL94 flammability standards, achieving an HB 94 rating.
Ideal for sealing tasks within automotive, aerospace, and engineering sectors, especially where exposure to oils, chemicals, and petrol occurs. Suitable for both internal and external use.
Complies with ASTM D1056 2C2 classification (formerly ASTM D1056 SCE42).
