Metal Detectable Silicone Rubber Cord

Metal detectable silicone rubber cord is a food-grade synthetic elastomer renowned for its flexibility and ability to retain compression set across a wide temperature spectrum. This material features excellent electrical insulation, a non-stick surface, and strong resistance to UV exposure and oxidation. Designed primarily for use in the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical sectors, the cord incorporates additives that enable detection by metal scanning equipment, aiding contamination prevention. It meets the requirements of FDA 177.2600, EC 1935/2004, and WRAS standards.

Often used in sealing tasks where precise o-ring sizes are unavailable. Cord can be joined to make o-rings. We also offer a selection of standard silicone cords in various colours for applications where metal detectability is not essential.
