Silicone rubber cord (SI) is a synthetic elastomer crafted from silicon, carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen. It offers exceptional compressibility over a wide temperature range, features a non-stick, watertight surface, and effectively resists weathering, UV light, and ozone. Additionally, it provides excellent electrical insulation, holds WRAS / WRc approval, and meets FDA and EC standards for food contact. However, silicone is not suitable for abrasive environments and should be avoided in the presence of acids, ketones, or petrochemicals.
