PET rod (polyethylene terephthalate) is a precision-engineered, dimensionally stable plastic known for its strong chemical resistance and outstanding creep resistance. It combines high mechanical strength with minimal moisture uptake and excellent electrical insulation. PET is durable, easy to machine, and polishes to a smooth finish.
At Henry Gallacher, we specialise in manufacturing PET rod components using advanced CNC machining. Typical finished parts include deflection rollers, control discs, gears, bearings, and electrical insulation elements. For further details on our machining services, please visit our plastic machining page.
PET rod is stocked in a variety of diameters. For branded alternatives, we also supply PET (Ertalyte®) rod.
Applications
Widely used for deflection rollers in the filament industry, as well as components for frames, insulators, control discs, and bearings. It is particularly suited to food and pharmaceutical sectors, along with electrical, mechanical, and marine engineering uses.
