Twisted and Stranded Yarns

Twisted and stranded yarns are offered by Henry Gallacher in ceramic and glass fibre variants. Our glass twisted yarns consist solely of glass fibres, while ceramic twisted yarns combine 80% ceramic fibres with 20% organic fibres, reinforced with either nickel chrome wire or glass yarns. These yarns are expertly crafted to meet demanding sealing and insulation needs.

Applications

Ideal for sealing rings, expansion joint packing on boilers, chimney doors, heat exchangers, furnaces, kilns, and oven door seals.

Please note that ceramic fibre yarns can be reinforced with either glass yarn or wire. Glass yarn reinforcement is suitable up to +550°C, while wire reinforcement withstands temperatures up to +1000°C.
