Ceramic Webbing Tape

Ceramic webbing tape is crafted from blown alumino-silicate fibre yarn, combining high-purity alumina and silica for exceptional refractory and physical properties. This material excels in demanding high-temperature environments. Standard reinforcement is nickel chrome wire, with an option for glass yarn reinforcement.

Applications

Ideal for high-temperature applications such as welding and furnace curtains, protective clothing, personnel shields, fire-resistant drapes, thermocouple sleeves, pipe insulation, expansion joints, and inspection door seals.

Key Features

Temperature: Up to +1260°C (base fabric).
Note: Ceramic fibre tapes come with either glass yarn or wire reinforcement. Glass yarn is rated to +550°C, while wire reinforcement withstands up to +1000°C.
Outstanding strength and insulation at elevated temperatures.
Asbestos-free composition.
High tensile durability.
Reinforced with nickel chrome wire for enhanced performance.

Note: Ceramic yarn production involves a minor amount of organic binder to facilitate spinning. This may cause 'flashing' at elevated temperatures, which can be prevented by heat-cleaning the tape before use or by allowing the binder to burn off during initial operation.
