Ceramic Fibre Boards

Ceramic Fibre Boards

Ceramic fibre boards are crafted from inorganic amorphous glass fibre, engineered to withstand temperatures reaching +1260°C. This lightweight, asbestos-free refractory material delivers outstanding resistance to chemicals, gases, and thermal shock. Easy to fit, these boards offer low thermal conductivity and heat retention, making them ideal for furnace linings, boiler ducts, and stack insulation.

Applications

Commonly used for kiln and furnace linings, gaskets and seals, fire protection, glass tank insulation, expansion joints, hot gas duct linings, and refractory backup insulation.

Key Features

  • Continuous temperature resistance up to +1000°C, with a maximum of +1260°C.
  • Excellent stability at high temperatures.
  • Low thermal conductivity for efficient insulation.
  • Strong resistance to thermal shock.
  • Free from asbestos.
  • Durable against high velocity conditions.
  • Effective barrier against flame and heat.

Availability

Our standard ceramic fibre boards typically have a density of 300kg/m³, suited for furnace linings and backup insulation. For applications requiring intricate machining, we provide boards with a density of 350kg/m³.
