Duratec®-XP is a robust composite made from calcium silicate, calcium aluminates, and glass fibre. It combines toughness with excellent machinability, electrical insulation, and retains strong performance at high temperatures. Unlike many materials, it remains flexible and resists brittleness under stress.
Thanks to these qualities, Duratec®-XP is widely used in manufacturing electrical insulation parts, welding pads, thermal breaks, arc chutes, and coil supports. Henry Gallacher provides a skilled in-house machining service and can produce components from your samples or technical drawings.
