Duratec®-XP

Duratec®-XP

Duratec®-XP is a robust composite made from calcium silicate, calcium aluminates, and glass fibre. It combines toughness with excellent machinability, electrical insulation, and retains strong performance at high temperatures. Unlike many materials, it remains flexible and resists brittleness under stress.

Thanks to these qualities, Duratec®-XP is widely used in manufacturing electrical insulation parts, welding pads, thermal breaks, arc chutes, and coil supports. Henry Gallacher provides a skilled in-house machining service and can produce components from your samples or technical drawings. To discuss your requirements, please get in touch or use the enquiry button above.

Please note: We previously supplied Duratec® 750 and Duratec® 1000, which are now discontinued. Depending on your needs, we can supply alternative high temperature insulation boards such as:

► Sindanyo® H91

► Zircar® RS-1200 (details below)

Applications

Duratec®-XP is commonly utilised in induction furnace components and as electrically insulating arc chutes.
