Monolux® and Monolux® MST are calcium silicate-based insulation boards, reinforced with carefully selected fibres and fillers to provide low thermal conductivity combined with high mechanical strength. These high temperature insulation boards are free from asbestos and inorganic fibres, and can be precisely machined to tight tolerances. Both variants deliver reliable, stable insulation performance for challenging environments, featuring low shrinkage and excellent rigidity at elevated temperatures.
Monolux® (previously known as Monolux® 800) is the premium grade, offering enhanced nominal density and thermal conductivity compared to Monolux® MST (formerly Monolux® 500). It is typically chosen for demanding mechanical uses such as platen presses and industrial dryers where superior thermal insulation is required. The MST grade is often employed as a thermal brake in various applications and can serve as a single insulating layer in industrial ovens and dryers.
Applications
Ideal for platen presses, ovens and dryers, load-bearing pipe supports, heat shielding, structural thermal breaks, boiler and flue gas baffles, fire-resistant structures, linings, and custom machined components.
