PVC Sheet

PVC Sheet

PVC sheet (polyvinyl chloride) is a cost-effective thermoplastic known for its solid rigidity, strong mechanical properties, and reasonable electrical insulation. It is straightforward to machine and can be fabricated using welding and bonding techniques. This material is widely chosen for environments demanding resistance to chemicals, moisture, oxidation, and UV exposure. Additionally, unplasticised PVC is impact-resistant and classified as self-extinguishing with a UL94 V-0 flammability rating.

Operating effectively between 0°C and +60°C, PVC sheet offers durable performance, making it a preferred choice in sectors such as water treatment, chemical processing, and construction due to its robustness and corrosion resistance. However, it is not ideal for abrasive conditions and may become brittle below freezing temperatures. Compared to other engineering plastics, PVC has a relatively low melting point.

At Henry Gallacher, we convert PVC sheet into a variety of finished components using our in-house CNC machining capabilities. Typical products include tank linings, chemical equipment, plugs, battery separators, and electrical insulators.

We supply PVC sheet in multiple colours, sizes, and thicknesses. For tailored requirements, please get in touch with our technical sales team who are ready to provide expert assistance.
