Polypropylene sheet
is a durable, lightweight engineering plastic known for its minimal water absorption and strong resistance to acids, alkalis, and organic solvents. Its mechanical strength, impact resilience, and thermal and electrical insulation qualities make it a preferred choice in numerous industrial applications.
Widely utilised in chemical processing as tank linings and in food production due to its FDA approval, polypropylene performs well within a service temperature range of -20°C to +80°C. It is straightforward to shape and weld, though it may become brittle below recommended temperatures.
Extended drilling or machining is discouraged because of its relatively low melting point of +160°C. We offer polypropylene sheet in two main grades: PPH (Homopolymer) and
PPC (Copolymer). For purchasing details, please contact us directly.
Applications
Common uses include chemical equipment, water treatment parts, seals, insulators, ventilation ducts, pallets, drip trays, crash doors, and wall cladding. Its excellent thermal and electrical insulation, combined with resistance to many chemicals, makes it ideal for fabrication in chemical and effluent treatment facilities.
