Neoprene Rubber Gaskets

Neoprene Rubber Gaskets

A common choice in external sealing applications, selected for the elastomer's excellent resistance to weathering effects and abrasion from environmental exposure. Neoprene rubber gaskets provide moderate chemical stability across a broad range of media, offering good resistance to dilute acids, alkalis and salt solutions. The material demonstrates particular compatibility with animal fats, vegetable oils, and inorganic salts, making it suitable for food processing equipment as well as general industrial applications. This material also maintains flexibility across a range of temperatures whilst resisting degradation from ozone and UV exposure, making it widely used in outdoor equipment, marine applications, construction sealing, and general industrial machinery where balanced chemical and environmental resistance is required. However, they are not suitable for applications involving aromatic hydrocarbons and ketones.

A range of neoprene gaskets is available that offer additional features and standards, such as food approval, BS 2752 compliance, and flame-retardant options. We can utilise the in-house technology of our CNC maching to manufacture standard flange, dovetail and picture frame gaskets, to suit both low and high quantity requirements. For information on how to accurately measure your gasket, please see our guide on 'How to Measure a Gasket' .
